With the ever-changing healthcare environment, there is an increasing focus on cost, efficiency, and quality, all of which can impact the success of a trial and its investigative site. How can the research team optimize resources and provide a foundation for quality and cost effectiveness? You’ll learn practical considerations for accrual, workload, quality monitoring, electronic medical records, budgeting, and negotiations. Speakers will review tools that provide metrics for potential programmatic assessment, planning, and budgeting, aiding the success of the investigative site.

1. Describe three tools that help to promote the conduct of quality research.
2. Discuss how to evaluate electronic medical records for clinical trial optimization.
3. Discuss the key steps to budgeting for a successful clinical trial.
