Translational Research Critique

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Join us for a three-part podium session sponsored by the ONS Advanced Nursing Research special interest group.

  • Jennifer Lounsbury will present "Nurse-Led Interventions for Dyspnea Management in Individuals With Lung Cancer." She'll share the results of a mixed methods study that saw improvements in dyspnea and fatigue scores among participants with lung cancer.
  • Gail Bower will present "Intravenous Immune Globulin Infusions in an Adult Outpatient Setting: Evidence to Effect Policy Change." Focusing on the practice of taking frequent vital signs to monitor adverse reactions to IVIG, she'll inspire you to examine inefficient policies that rely on traditional nursing ideas rather than research evidence.
  • Saunjoo Yoon will present "Cancer-Associated Anorexia and Cachexia in Adults with Gastrointestinal Tract Cancer: A Novel Intervention With Acupuncture." She'll help you identify three interventions to manage cancer-related anorexia. You'll also learn how to differentiate cancer-related cachexia from cancer-related anorexia in two areas.
